As of 1 February 2023, UNESCO has verified damage to 238 sites since 24 February 2022– 105 religious sites, 18 museums, 85 buildings of historical and/or artistic interest, 19 monuments, and 11 libraries.
The most damaged sites are located in the Donetsk region- 65, 54 damaged sites are in the Kharkiv region, and 35 damaged sites – in the Kyiv region.
To date, no UNESCO World Heritage site appears to have been damaged.
