Adopt a Pet in Ukraine: the largest animal adoption event in Ukraine is set to take place on June 22nd and 23rd at the International Exhibition Center, bringing together several renowned shelters. This is a fantastic opportunity for Kyiv residents to find a new furry friend and give a loving home to animals in need.
The event is organized by the Kyiv City Veterinary Hospital, shelters “Sirius,” “Zoo Patrol,” “Tailed Gang,” and volunteers. Their goal is to make this event a platform for finding families for homeless animals.
“Unfortunately, animal shelters in Kyiv and the region are overflowing. Many of the dogs and cats there have been evacuated from frontline territories. There are also animals who have ended up in shelters because their owners have gone to fight and have no one to care for them. So today, more than ever, the slogan ‘don’t buy – adopt’ is relevant,” said Oleksandr Vozний, Director of the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Change Adaptation at Kyiv City State Administration.
Volunteers and small animal shelters are also invited to participate in the event.
