Air France expands its network to Barbados

As of 2 February 2017, Air France will be offering up to two weekly flights to Barbados from Paris-Orly with a connection in Pointe à Pitre or Fort de France. The flights from Pointe à Pitre and Fort de France to Barbados will be offered on a code-share basis with Air Antilles and operated by ATR 72 (72 seats) and ATR42 (48 seats).

On these flights, the company’s customers will also earn Miles as part of the Flying Blue loyalty program.

In addition, on 21 September 2016, as part of the IFTM Top Resa fair, Air France and the Barbados Tourist Office signed a partnership. This new agreement aims to develop tourism in Barbados and promote this destination on departure from France and Europe.

“Air France is delighted to have signed this new partnership agreement, which reaffirms the close ties between the company and the Tourist Boards to promote destinations. For our customers, services to Barbados are an additional opportunity to travel to the Caribbean from Europe or the French West Indies” said Henri Hourcade, SVP Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Latin America at Air France-KLM.

“This is the first time that Barbados and a French airline have become partners. We are delighted that this partnership is with Air France and we are eager to welcome French visitors to enable them to discover our island, a glamorous destination close to the French West Indies” declared William Billy Griffith, CEO of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.

On its regional network, Air France offers services between Pointe à Pitre, Fort de France, Cayenne, Port au Prince and Miami. Two Airbus A320 and crews dedicated to this network operate more than 30 weekly flights.
