An exceptional tasting experience in the sky
Every year, Air France serves 800,000 bottles of wine in La Première and Business class and 750,000 bottles of Champagne, including in Economy class. All the wines and spirits are chosen for their capacity to adapt to the constraints linked to the particular environment of air transport, particular the dry air and cabin pressure that modify how tastes are perceived.
A wine cellar recognized the world over
Air France regularly receives awards for the quality of its offer. In February 2019, at the prestigious Business Traveller’s Cellars in the Sky Awards 2018 ceremony, the company was once again rewarded for the exceptional quality of the wines and Champagnes served on board its La Première cabin. This year, the company was notably honoured with the prize for the best first class Champagne with its prestigious Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2006 served in the La Première cabin.
In September 2018, at the World’s Best Wine Lists Awards 2018 ceremony, the company received the Best Airline Wine List in the World award, one of the most prestigious distinctions in this area awarded by the British magazine The World of Fine Wine.
The company was also awarded the title of Best selection of wines 2018 for an airline and awarded Three Glasses (following the example of the Michelin Guide’s stars awarded to chefs) for its wine selection in La Première cabin by China’s Wine List 2018.
