On October 30, 2021, Air Ocean Airlines, Ukraine’s new air carrier, operated its first flight on route Kyiv-Mykolayiv.
Air Ocean Airlines was founded in September 2020. The airline has two used and Russian-made Antonov An-148s in their fleet for its regular and charter flights, both on domestic and international routes. Air Ocean Airlines intends to operate regional routes of two to 2.5 hours duration.
Due to the low capacity (75 seats) and the lack of EASA and FAA certification, Air Ocean is only allowed to fly domestically.
