The State Aviation Administration issued a permit to Azur Air Ukraine for flights from Kyiv to New York, Miami and Chicago from October 1, 2020.
However, the first flights will take place in the spring of 2021.
The airline will fly twice a week in three directions, but it may increase the number of flights due to the open skies agreement.
Today Azur Air Ukraine’s fleet includes only one long-haul Boeing 767-300ER aircraft capable of non-stop long-haul flights.
Today there is no direct regular air service between Ukraine and the United States. UIA will resume Kyiv-New York service in October 2020.
