During April 2017 Danylo Halytskyi International Airport “Lviv” handled 66.7 thousand passengers that is 68.9% more than during April 2016 (39.5 thousand passengers). The passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 13.8 thousand passengers (21%) and on international –52.9 thousand passengers(79%).
The most popular destinations by passenger traffic were the following: Hurghada and Istanbul (SAW, IST), Boryspil, Hurghada and Vienna. During January 2017 the airport handled 861 flights: 667 (77%) of them were international and 194 (23%) domestic.
Top-5 destinations by the number of operated flights were the following: Istanbul (SAW, IST), Warsaw, Boryspil (KBP), Minsk and Vienna.
Top-5 airlines by the number of passengers handled were UIA, LOT Polish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Turkish Airlines and Austrian Airlines. The airlines that operated the largest number of flights were UIA, LOT Polish Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Belavia, Lufthansa.
