During September 2016 Danylo Halytskyi International Airport “Lviv” handled 85,2 thousand passengers that is 31,7% more than during September 2015 (64,7 thousand passengers). The passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 15,0 thousand passengers (18%), and on international – 70,2 thousand passengers (82%). The airport handled 910 flights: 700 (77%) of them were international and 210 (23%) – domestic.
The most popular destinations by passenger traffic were the following: Antalya, Istanbul (SAW, IST), Boryspil (KBP), Warsaw and Vienna. Top-5 destinations by the number of operated flights were the following: Antalya, Istanbul (SAW, IST), Warsaw, Boryspil (KBP) and Vienna.
Top-5 airlines by the number of passengers handled were UIA, Azur Air Ukraine, LOT Polish Airlines, Windrose and Pegasus Airlines. The airlines that operated the largest number of flights were UIA, LOT Polish Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Azur Air Ukraine and Dniproavia.
Since the beginning of this year the airport handled 556,4 thousand passengers that is 24,6% more that during January-September 2015 (446,7 thousand passengers). The number of flights has amounted to 6571, that indicates the increase by 19,1% in comparison with the figure of the previous year.
