Denmark has agreed to help rebuild the Black Sea port city of Mykolayiv when the bombing stops. The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevich, said this in an interview with Danish TV2.
Already in August, the Danish government will approve the creation of a recovery plan for Mykolaiv.
After that, Oleksandr Senkevich is to go on a working visit to Copenhagen to sign a memorandum with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, on the basis of which a plan for the restoration of the destruction will be drawn up.
Also, Senkevich said, in the future, the Ukrainian city and Denmark can cooperate in the field of waste collection, processing, disposal and IT technologies.
Earlier, Denmark agreed to help rebuild Mykolaiv when the Russian occupiers stopped bombing. The interested organization Green Power Denmark is already part of the partnership that will contribute to the reconstruction of the destroyed city.
