As reported by Rynek Lotniczy, air connections between Warsaw and Addis Ababa are set to commence in the summer of 2024.
Representatives from the Polish Airports Association (PPL) have already visited the headquarters of the Ethiopian airline. Details about the Warsaw and Addis Ababa connection will soon appear in the company’s booking system. Ethiopian Airlines secured slots at Warsaw Chopin Airport back in December.
According to PPL President Stanisław Wojtera, Addis Ababa is a strategic direction for Chopin Airport. It presents a significant opportunity to expand the route network from the Polish capital, as Addis Ababa has already become an important transit hub not only for African destinations.
Ethiopian Airlines is the national carrier of Ethiopia, founded in 1945. It is one of Africa’s leading airlines, known for its rapid development and extensive fleet. The company’s route network includes over 125 international flights operated on modern Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
