The Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority has approved applications for low-cost airlines Wizz Air and Ryanair to perform flights to Ukraine.
Wizz Air was permitted to start flights on the Athens-Kyiv and Thessaloniki-Kyiv routes with a frequency of up to two times a week from March 31, 2019.
Ryanair was permitted to start flights on the Athens-Kyiv route with a frequency of up to twice a week from April 2, 2019. Ryanair already announced the opening of the Kyiv-Athens route in November 2018.
Greek airline Astra Airlines was allowed to perform flights on the Athens – Kyiv route twice a week from March 31, 2019.
The air carrier announced the opening of the Kyiv-Athens route in November 2018.
