Groen Aeronautics Corporation (GAC) has been re-branded as Skyworks Global Inc. (Skyworks), effective immediately.
The announcement follows the addition of two new board members, Brig. Gen. (ret.) John Michel and Dr. Fred Gertsen, as well as an increased focus on how the newly-minted Skyworks is using gyronautics, its patented gyroplane technology, to make swift and lasting changes all over the world.
Skyworks is recognized as the world’s leading authority on sustained autorotative flight with approximately 40 patents issued and several more underway.
“We are excited to make this change, one we feel more accurately expresses our mission going forward,” Gen. Michel said. “We’re moving away from simply being a developer of gyroplane technology to making a real and effective difference in the world. Gyronautics has the potential to improve everything from point A to point B transportation and protecting our borders here in the United States to helping eliminate hunger in third-world countries.”
Skyworks is leading the vertical take-off and landing aircraft innovation space with uniquely practical and affordable aircraft which will allow for runway-free operations.
“What GAC has done up to now has been extremely impressive and builds a strong foundation for the future,” added Gen. Michel. “What Skyworks will do in the coming years is apply the technology we have perfected in new ways to transform multiple industries globally.”
Skyworks’ website, logo, and social media channels will be updated at a later date.
