In October 2017 the International Airport “Kharkiv” has continued to improve its performance. Over the past month, it provided services to 67.600 passengers. In the same period last year, passenger traffic was 55,1 thousand passengers, so there is an increase of 23%.
In ten months of 2017, the total passenger traffic reached 684,3 thousand people, which is 38% more than in the same period in 2016. For the period of January-October, the airport has provided services to 497.500 passengers.
In October 2017 the most popular destinations were Istanbul (Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Atlasglobal), Kyiv (UIA), Antalya (Windrose, Azur Air Ukraine, Atlasglobal, Bravo Airways, UIA), Sharm El-Sheikh (Utair Ukraine, UIA), Tel-Aviv (UIA), Warsaw (LOT Polish Airlines), and Minsk (Belavia). The share of passenger traffic on international flights was 76%, on domestic — 24%.
By the end of October, we can be proud of not only the growth of passenger traffic. This month, the airport has hosted such major events as the international forum AGROPORT and the marathon on the runway Kharkiv Airport Run.
Airport “Kharkiv” is actively preparing for the winter period and planning new interesting destinations for its passengers. In our schedule has already appeared flights to Kittilä (Finland) and Maribor (Slovenia) and we also expect the traditional popularity of flights to such warm places as Sharm El Sheikh, Istanbul, Tel Aviv.
