In the first month of 2020, 111,6 thousand people used the services of Kharkiv Airport. The passenger flow of international flights saw a 67% rise, the domestic flights hiked its passenger flow 15%, and the total increase amounted to 55% compared to the same period last year, with an indicator of 71,8 thousand.
Within the month, airlines performed 435 flights from Kharkiv Airport, which is 36% more against last year. The most popular destinations were Sharm El-Sheikh, Istanbul, Kyiv, Kraków, Warsaw, Gdańsk, Vienna, Wrocław, Dortmund, and Prague.
A new destination opened in January: Ryanair, a low-cost airline, began performing flights from Kharkiv to the Hungarian capital. Kharkiv–Budapest flight tickets are available on the air carrier’s website and at the airport ticket offices at 0 800 303 803. Flights are performed every Thursday and Sunday.
The previous year was the most successful year for Kharkiv International Airport ever. Sustainable growth continues in 2020 as well.
