The total passenger traffic at Kharkiv International Airport in February 2019 amounted to 65.9 thousand people. This is 23% more than in February last year. 51.5 thousand people used international flights, which is 30% higher than last year’s figure. The domestic passenger traffic is 14.4 thousand passengers, which is 6% higher than in February 2018.
During the month, there were 326 departures from Kharkiv International Airport. The number of domestic flights has not changed, but the number of international has increased by 10%. The top destinations are Sharm El-Sheikh (Windrose, Azur Air Ukraine, SkyUp) Kyiv(UIA), Warsaw(LOT), Vienna, Dortmund, Katowice, Gdansk, Wroclaw (Wizz Air) and Minsk(Belavia).
The total passenger traffic for January and February amounted to 137.8 thousand passengers, which is 22% more than in the same period of 2018. There are 107 thousand passengers of international flights, and 30.7 of domestic. The total number of departures increased by 4% and reached 647.
In 2019, the airport continues to develop a route map. On March 2, were opened flights from Kharkiv to Sharjah (UAE). On March 12, Ernest Airlines starts flights to Rome and Milan: flyernest.com. On March 31, regular flights to Tel Aviv are resumed — tickets are available at the airport’s ticket offices (0 800 303 803) and at www.flyuia.com.
