The municipal enterprise Kharkiv Metro in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced a tender for the purchase of 17 new five-car subway trains equipped with full-width passenger passageways between cars, reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
“This contract will be financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and regulated by the EIB procurement guidelines.”
The chosen contractor is expected to launch the new trains, install any necessary additional equipment, and provide training for metro staff to operate these trains.
The current stage involves inviting participants to take part in the tender, with the deadline for submitting applications extended until April 17, 2024.
