State Aviation Administration of Ukraine and Ministry of Transport and Communications of Lithuania have agreed on a complete removal of restrictions on air communication between the two countries. The change concerns the number of points of departure / arrival.
The new fully open agreement removes all restrictions on air services between the 2 countries, leaving airlines free to respond to market demand without government intervention.
This agreement promote increased travel and trade, enhance productivity, and spur high-quality job opportunities and economic growth. They serve to eliminate government interference in commercial airline decisions about routes, capacity, and pricing and allow carriers to provide more affordable, convenient, and efficient air service for consumers.
According to Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, the Agreement on Common Aviation Area between Ukraine and EU may be signed till the end of this summer.
