On the evening of April 12, a new chapter in LOT Polish Airlines’ network expansion began as the national carrier’s first flight to Reykjavik (Keflavik Airport – KEF) took off from Warsaw Chopin Airport. The introduction of this long-anticipated route marks LOT’s third new connection of the year, following successful launches to Lisbon from Warsaw and Paris from Krakow.
The Warsaw–Reykjavik route strengthens connectivity between Poland and Iceland, a market long considered a strategic priority for LOT. Iceland is home to a large Polish community, yet until now, scheduled air services between the two countries have been dominated exclusively by low-cost carriers, particularly Wizz Air and Play.
Flight Schedule and Aircraft
LOT will operate flights between Warsaw and Reykjavik four times a week during the summer season:
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Departure from Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) at 21:35 (21:50 on Sundays)
Arrival at Keflavík Airport (KEF) at 23:55
Return flights from Iceland are scheduled as follows:
Departures from KEF at 00:45 on Mondays and 01:00 on other operating days
Each flight is scheduled to take approximately four hours and 20 minutes westbound and four hours eastbound. The route will be served by Boeing 737 aircraft, offering both economy and business class service.
During the winter season, LOT plans to reduce the frequency to three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays), maintaining strong year-round connectivity.
