Starting July 1, Lviv will launch a free transfer option in public transport lasting for 40 minutes, announced the Lviv City Council. The initiative will initially operate in a trial mode. Holders of the LeоCart transport card will pay only once per trip, regardless of how many routes they use. The single fare will be 13 hryvnias.
All transfer trips must be registered on each transport vehicle. This service will also extend to buses operated by private carriers, where electronic payment has been in place for six months under the same conditions as municipal transport.
To know the exact time of the initial payment to facilitate a transfer, passengers can press “Ticket Information” on the validator and tap their LeоCart on the reader at the bottom of the device. The validator screen will display details about the trip registration time.
