Lviv railway station will be equipped to cater to the needs of people with reduced mobility, as reported by the Lviv City Council.
In the main building of Lviv’s railway station, additional facilities will be installed to ensure unimpeded access to trains and platforms, including high platforms and elevators. As part of the reconstruction, three additional elevators will be installed for each platform, by European accessibility standards for any train.
Efforts are being made to make Lviv’s railway station and Dvirtseva Square more accessible. A ramp will be installed at the entrance to the main ticket hall of the station. This ramp will serve its purpose until “Ukrzaliznytsia” (Ukrainian Railways) carries out the planned comprehensive repair of the entrance, as noted by the Lviv City Council’s infrastructure department.
