The first spring month of 2017 was pleasing in terms of productivity. Passenger traffic at the Kharkiv International Airport grew by 48% compared to March of the previous year and amounted to 47.4 thousand passengers. The share of passengers on international flights was 72%.
In March, Kharkiv citizens and guests of the city continued to actively use flights to Istanbul (Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Atlasglobal), Kiev (UIA), Minsk (Belavia), Warsaw (LOT), Tel Aviv (UIA) and others, thus ensuring stable growth in passenger traffic.
The launch of regular flight to Istanbul serviced by the international grandee Turkish Airlines was a significant event in March. Now Kharkiv residents and city guests can enjoy the service well-known all over the world. New flights to Istanbul will be carried out 4 times a week, and starting from May they will become daily. Thus, Kharkiv-Istanbul flights will be carried 3 times a day by three different airlines.
Also from April 22 the new regular flight Kharkiv-Tbilisi (Georgian Airways) will appear in Kharkiv International Airport’s schedule, they will be performed on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
