New buses in Kyiv that were received from European partners will operate as minibuses from December 2. Processes with the registration of buses were on hold for a long time due to a power outage in the city.
This is reported on the official Telegram channel of the Kyiv City State Administration.
18 Mercedes buses from those donated as humanitarian aid by the German cities of Munich, Hanover, Regensburg and Zeven leave for routes No. 2, 22, 56.
About 10 more German buses will be in operational reserve ready to go to the busiest destinations.
Deutsche Bahn Regio Bus donated part of these buses to Kyiv in September 2022. The buses went through lengthy registration and certification procedures, received the necessary equipment for the functioning of the electronic ticket and GPS trackers and audio-visual notification systems.
