An international railway connection will open this month between Warsaw, and the city of Rava-Ruska, Ukraine.
Ukrzaliznytsia, Lviv Regional State Administration, Rava-Ruska City Council and Dobrosynsko-Magerivska Rural Community signed a Memorandum of Cooperation regarding the development of railway infrastructure on the territory of Rava-Ruska Urban Territorial Community.
Lviv RSA, with the funds of the regional budget and communities, developed a project for the restoration of the 8-kilometer Euro track and the railway station in the city of Rava-Ruska with the possibility of conducting customs control.
As of today, they are already actively laying a new track and have begun the reconstruction of the station. For our part, we ensured the timely production of project and estimate documentation worth more than 4 million hryvnias. And the necessary reconstruction works are now being carried out with the funds of the state budget,” Yuriy Buchko noted.
As long as the reconstruction of the station continues, it is planned to create temporary customs and border pavilions for the passage of passengers.
