ÖBB as a sign of solidarity on the anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine will grant the right to free travel for Ukrainian refugees.
Free tickets will be available for trains from the places of residence of Ukrainians to Vienna and back, the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria reported.
The right to free travel will apply:
from 02:00 to 11:00 on February 24, 2023 in the direction of Vienna;
from 17:30 to 00:00 on February 24, 2023 in the return direction.
To get free tickets, you need to go to the ÖBB ticket office and show your passport as a citizen of Ukraine. Then fill out the form, which will be valid as a round-trip ticket.
This form will be available at all ticket offices of the Austrian Federal Railways from February 20, 2023.
