The “Optima Collection Aurora” hotel in Kryvyi Rih was destroyed in a missile strike by Russian forces on the night of August 27. The attack caused significant damage to the hotel’s infrastructure, rendering it incapable of further operation.
Tragically, two people lost their lives in the strike, and five others were injured. In addition to the hotel, six stores, four apartment buildings, and eight cars were also damaged.
“The fate of two more people remains unknown. They may still be trapped under the rubble,” noted Lysak.
The incident has left the local community in shock as authorities continue rescue operations and assess the full extent of the damage.
