SKPL plans to launch a new train from Poland to Ukraine, Warsaw to Rava-Ruska starting from June 1.
The new route will provide another way for Ukrainians to return home from the Polish capital and help relieve congestion at the border crossing points, according to the Lviv Regional State Administration’s Transport and Communication Department.
A daily train will operate in both directions, with a capacity of 240 passengers. Departures from Warsaw East station are scheduled for 14:00 local time, and from Lublin at 16:00. The train is expected to arrive in Rava-Ruska at 20:15.
After undergoing border and customs control in Rava-Ruska, passengers will be able to transfer to a Ukrainian Railways train to Lviv. The new train will depart from the Ukrainian border town of Rava-Ruska towards Warsaw daily at 08:45 Kyiv time.
It is worth mentioning that on April 5, Ukrainian and Polish railway operators conducted a joint test trip along the Lublin-Rava-Ruska route on the European standard gauge of 1435 mm.
