The Ministry of Culture, as part of the “Save Ukrainian Culture” project, is collecting funds for the restoration of the National Literary and Memorial Museum of Hryhoriy Skovoroda.
The museum kept editions of the philosopher’s works, books of ancient, medieval and modern philosophers and poets he studied, personal belongings.
“Fortunately, the most valuable exhibits of the collection were saved, they were moved in advance to a safe place, but the memorial building suffered irreparable losses,” says the Ministry of Culture.
More than 112 million hryvnias are needed to restore the museum. The ministry notes that there is no such amount in the Kharkiv region, which is under daily shelling by the Russians. You can become a patron of the institution or donate any amount for the restoration of the museum here.
