On the evening of Sunday, November 5th, a massive missile strike in the Odesa region resulted in serious damage to the Odessa National Art Museum.
A Russian missile struck in close proximity to the museum, causing damage to the building, including damaged walls, shattered windows, and glass. Eight exhibitions inside the museum were also affected.
The museum has been temporarily closed, and all scheduled events have been postponed. The “Free Entrance Day” has also been canceled. The process of assessing the damage, documenting the consequences of the impact, and investigative actions is underway.
It is worth noting that on the night of September 25th, several cultural heritage sites designated by UNESCO were also affected by enemy shelling in Odesa.
