The Ritz Carlton, Budapest celebrates grand opening

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. celebrated the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Budapest on 4th May 2016. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, owner of the hotel and Chairman of UAE conglomerate Al Habtoor Group, and Herve Humler, President and Chief Operations Officer, The Ritz-Carlton, welcomed their partners and guests to the newest luxury hotel in the Hungarian capital. Viktor Orbán, Hungary’s Prime Minister, also participated in the event.

The Ritz-Carlton, Budapest is housed within a protected historic building on Elizabeth Square. Constructed in 1914 as the headquarters of an Italian insurance company, the building has seen many incarnations, but on 12th April it officially opened as The Ritz-Carlton, Budapest – a luxury property with 170 elegantly appointed rooms and 30 suites, and stunning views of St Stephen’s Basilica.
