UIA started testing SMS notification service informing passengers of all scheduled flights on any delays and cancellations. Therefore, the airline`s clients will be notified of important schedule alterations.
Within 48 – 1 hour prior to scheduled departure, passengers who provided UIA with correct contact details when booking their tickets may receive a notification on cancellation and/or any other schedule changes.A SMS notification is disseminated in case a flight is delayed by over 2 hours. If the delay time is extended by over 30 minutes, passengers receive the second notice.
Shortly, UIA plans to introduce SMS notifications of the start of web check-in and confirmation of auto check-in for passengers of all scheduled flights.
