On Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 Ukraine International enhanced its fleet with 2nd medium-haul Embraer-195. The plane received the registration number UR-EMF and became the 7th aircraft of the Embraer brand in the UIA fleet.
The aircraft accommodates 116 passengers in a two-class cabin configuration, i.e. Business & Economy Class. Therefore, passengers will be able to enjoy the benefits of a Premium Economy Class product on the medium and domestic flights. UIA expects to operate the airplane across its medium-haul and domestic route network and is scheduled to operate its first commercial flights from 27th of May.
«The second Embraer-195 aircraft entered to UIA fleet this year. Meantime the results of two months operation of the first Embraer-195 which had been entered to UIA fleet in the middle of March confirmed the operating efficiency of this type of aircraft on UIA short-haul and domestic routes, – noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Communications Director. – Unfortunately, the delay in delivery of three Boeing-737 MAX aircraft due to reasons beyond of the airline’s control forced us to revise and optimize the schedule – some flights were canceled, the frequency on the number of routes decreased. Delivery of the next aircraft will allow the airline to keep the stated schedule and provide punctual and convenient flights for our passengers».
