Effective March 1, 2016, Economy Class passengers traveling between the capitals of Ukraine and Azerbaijan will be provided with an opportunity to create their onboard menu by choosing from a wide range of food and beverages offered for an extra fee.
Economy Class passengers who purchased their tickets prior to February 10, 2016, as well as all Business Class passengers are provided with free onboard meals regardless of the flight date. Economy Class passengers who purchased their tickets prior to February 10, 2016, and plan their departure and arrival to/from Kiev/Baku prior to March 1, 2016, are provided with free onboard meals. In case a passenger purchased a round trip ticket with the return date later than March 1, he/she will be offered onboard meals for an extra fee on the return flight.
“We are consistently introducing the Buy on Board meal concept across our medium-haul route network, – noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Corporate Press Secretary. – This step allows UIA cutting fares and offering passengers to chose and pay for the services they plan to use”.
The Buy on Board meal concept is currently introduced on most UIA medium-haul flights. Passengers of long-haul flights as well as Business Class passengers of all scheduled flights are still provided with free onboard meals.
