President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, by his Decree No. 295/2020, has introduced a temporary visa-free regime for citizens of the People’s Republic of China who enter Ukraine for tourist purposes.
As stated in the Decree, a temporary visa-free regime for Chinese citizens is introduced with the aim of developing friendly relations between Ukraine and the People’s Republic of China and enhancing bilateral cooperation in tourism.
“To introduce a visa-free regime of entry into Ukraine and transit through the territory of Ukraine for citizens of the People’s Republic of China who enter Ukraine with a tourist purpose for the period from August 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021, if the period of their stay in Ukraine does not exceed 30 days in within 180 days “, – stated in the text of the document.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine must take measures arising from this decree. The decree comes into force on the day of its publication.
The Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, August 26, decided to impose a ban on foreign citizens from entering Ukraine until the end of September.
