The number of foreigners’ trips to Russia has shrunk 2.5% to 4.4 million in Jan-March 2017 from 4.5 million in the same period a year before. Some 25 million travelled to Russia in 2016.
Top 10 countries whose residents traveled to Russia in the first quarter of 2017 were Ukraine (1,578,000), Kazakhstan (657,000), Finland (234,000), Poland (189,000), China (183,000), Azerbaijan (181,000), Armenia (131,000), Moldova (107,000), Uzbekistan (99,000) and Abkhazia (92,000).
The most popular destinations for Russian tourists in the 1st Q 2017 were Finland, Abkhazia, Kazakhstan, China, Estonia, Thailand, Ukraine, Germany, Poland and UAE.
