The Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, August 26, decided to impose a ban on foreign citizens from entering Ukraine until the end of September.
“Given the level of morbidity, we must protect our fellow citizens and show responsibility to our foreign partners. The government will today consider the issue of closing the entrance for foreign citizens almost until the end of September,” Denys Shmyhal said.
The ban will be introduced from August 29 to September 28.
An exception will be made to foreign citizens who have a residence permit in Ukraine, members of international and humanitarian missions, members of the crew of ships, etc.
The entry into the territory of Ukraine will be denied to foreigners, except those in transit and leave the country within two days, studying in Ukraine, serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, have a residence permit in Ukraine, refugees, members of diplomatic missions, representatives of official international organizations, missions or members of their families, as well as drivers and crew members of vehicles, patients, professionals as well as for athletes and artists who come to Ukraine at the invitation of the companies or authorities.
