Ukraine is in the process of creating an official portal for international bus routes where passengers can find all necessary information about carriers, routes, schedules, and most importantly, purchase tickets for legal routes, according to Deputy Minister of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Serhiy Derkach.
Currently, when passengers order bus tickets online, they cannot verify whether the route is legal, whether taxes are paid, and if all necessary documents are in order. The new portal aims to address these issues.
To successfully implement the project, there are plans to integrate carriers and online ticket sellers. A special form has been opened for carrier registration, and the government aims to involve as many legal carriers as possible.
Developers are currently testing the portal with major ticket-selling companies, offering a free and accessible option based on API exchange. Efforts are also underway to ensure that aggregators sell tickets only for routes listed in the Register.
An internal presentation of the new resource is planned soon to showcase how the portal will function. Following this, companies will have the opportunity to join the project. The goal of the initiative is to provide a centralized platform for purchasing tickets for legal international bus routes.
