Ukrainian airports will be able to resume their work within two weeks. The main condition is safety.
This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov during his speech at the 17th annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy YES.
According to him, Lviv airport may be the first to start operating. The minister noted that the main problem for the resumption of civil aircraft flights is safety, not technical issues.
Before the start of the full-scale war, Lviv International Airport named after Danylo Halytskyi was the second largest and busiest in Ukraine. Passenger traffic in 2021 was 1.8 million people.
