Singapore and South Korea share 2nd place on the 2019 edition with visa-free access to 189 countries, France and Germany — share 3rd place, offering passport-holders access to 188 countries. Ranking jointly 4thon the index, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Sweden all provide visa-free access to 187 countries.
Ukraine has climbed 3 places since 2018 and now occupies the top spot in the region. The Ukrainian passport is ranked 41st globally, providing visa-free access to 128 countries. Ukraine shares the 41st position with Nicaragua and Samoa.
The Henley Passport Index is widely acknowledged as the original and most authoritative passport index, with historical data spanning 14 years.
