Ukrainian Railway will launch new international train route Kyiv-Vienna in December, said Wojciech Balczun, the head of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
“Ukrainian Railway will start soon the second pair of Hyundai Rotem trains that will connect Przemysl and Kyiv, and will make stops in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky and Ternopil. Now we are working on non-stop Kyiv-Vienna route “- said Balczun.
Wojciech Balczun also noted that in four months of 2017, Ukrainian Railway transported 48.4 thousand passengers on routes with EU countries, which is double more than in the entire 2015 (23.8 thousand), or 6 times more than in the same period last year (4 month of 2016 – 8.6 thousand).
Effective June 15, 2017, Ukrainian Railway will start Lviv – Varna (Bulgaria) train route.
