Following today’s horrific Russian attack on the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) is mobilizing its resources to assist affected patients and their families.
Ukrzaliznytsia is offering the following support:
- Evacuation by car or minibus: Ukrzaliznytsia will pick up individuals from their current location, including those requiring medical transportation.
- Shelter and meals at railway station lounges: Ukrzaliznytsia will provide temporary accommodation and meals at railway station lounges for those in need.
- Train transportation to homes or medical facilities: Ukrzaliznytsia will arrange convenient train travel for those who need to return home or seek medical treatment elsewhere.
Ukrzaliznytsia’s partners, World Central Kitchen, are already on-site providing hot meals to medical personnel and those assisting with relief efforts.
Ukrzaliznytsia’s teams and vehicles are stationed near the hospital.
