Ukrzaliznytsia has installed Wi-Fi in 75% of its Intercity trains. The carrier’s press service reported this information. Currently, commissioning and testing are ongoing.
1 GB of internet is provided free of charge per device. There is an announced option to purchase additional data, but it is not yet active.
It should be noted that wireless internet access is being installed as part of the investment project “Deployment of a Telecommunications Network in Trains.”
The corresponding tender was held a year ago, resulting in Wi-Fi being installed in 16 trains. Internet access is expected to be provided via Starlink, LTE, and Wi-Fi from stations.
