Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine’s national railway company, has announced the launch of an additional train service, No. 213/214, connecting Kyiv and Uzhhorod, in response to a growing demand for travel to the Zakarpattia region.
The company reported that there are, on average, 3,000 requests per day in the Ukrainian Railway app for travel to Zakarpattia. The increased demand is also attributed to the ongoing construction of the European gauge railway line between Chop and Uzhhorod, which is further boosting interest in the route.
