Ukrzaliznytsia, the Ukrainian Railways, is planning to launch online ticket sales for direct trains to Vienna by the end of 2023. According to UNIAN correspondent reports, this information was shared by Alexander Percovsky, a member of Ukrzaliznytsia’s board and head of the passenger direction, during the presentation of the new train schedule for the next year.
“Chop becomes a powerful hub. Chop-Vienna is a train that will be connected in our service with Kyiv and Lviv,” Percovsky said.
As of now, the entire offering to Vienna and Budapest consists of only two cars with 60 seats. He noted that the connection to Vienna is the third or fourth most popular direction.
