Ukrzaliznytsia received 30,000 “comfort kits”, which include a blanket, earplugs and a sleep mask, from the Norwegian railway company VY. This was the result of agreements between representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia and railway companies of Norway concluded in November last year during meetings organized by the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.
The cargo arrived in the capital yesterday, and we thank the Ambassador of Norway to Ukraine Erik Svedal for his assistance, as well as representatives of our common European railway family for their willingness to help Ukrainians in the most difficult times.
“Intercity” trains will be equipped with Starlink systems.
Wi-Fi from Starlink was tested for 100 days in a train on the Kyiv-Kharkiv route. The average speed of the Internet per port was 65.7 Mbps (like home Internet), and it was possible to provide uninterrupted Internet access on 96.7% of the route.
