Plans are underway to construct a one-of-a-kind underground urban complex called Shelter Park in Kharkiv, featuring an external park area. The project, developed by local architects, was unveiled to potential international donors and investors at an international Ukrainian-Luxembourg business forum for the first time.
The complex will combine a safe public space with educational and medical facilities, as well as commercial spaces. Additionally, residential units will be integrated into the underground city. The total area of the development will reach 36,000 square meters, with access directly from the Naukova metro station, ensuring complete safety.
On the surface, a park area will be established, adding to the green spaces of the city. The project is expected to undergo further refinement, aiming to create a safe, inclusive, environmentally friendly, and comfortable urban environment.
