A recent report, by airport transfer website Hoppa, has revealed the cheapest holiday destinations in the world. The results are based on the average cost of a night in a hotel for two, plus a meal with a shared bottle of wine, a 3km taxi journey, a coffee, a cocktail and a beer.
The study looked at these costs in 84 countries around the world and Sofia in Bulgaria was revealed as the cheapest place to stay.
The total cost of all of these items in Sofia is just $47.69.
